West Carlton is central to many of the exciting attractions available in the surrounding area.
There is bird life aplenty at West Carlton itself! Our garden is home to all different kinds of finches, tits, tree sparrows, etc. We have 2 resident Barn Owls, a Tawny Owl and a couple of Little Owls that have nested regularly in our weeping ash tree for the last 5 years.

There are a number of historic houses in the area. Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are within easy driving distance and the jewel of the area, the magnificent Elizabethan Burton Constable Hall is just a stones throw from West Carlton.

West Carlton is ideally situated for visiting historic Beverley with it's gothic Minster, quaint streets, unusual shops and a bustling market on a Saturday.
We are also convienient for Kingston-upon-Hull with its Marina, numerous museums, art galleries and the fantastic sea life attraction "The Deep" this multi-million pound millenium project is facinating for both adults and children.

Cycling & Walking
We are in an ideal area for both cycling and walking, for the cyclists there are no hills! there are many marked cycle routes in the area and we are only five miles from the trans-pennine cycle route which runs from Liverpool to Hornsea.
If you don't wish to bring your own cycle then we have an assortment available for your use.
The footpaths in the area are well marked. We have a
comprehensive selection of maps and marked routes for you to borrow.
